“When Amelia Came to Michigan” is the true story of Amelia Earhart’s adventures in the Great Lakes State. Presenters Al and Dave Eicher weave the story of Earhart's life, beginning with her childhood at the turn-of-the-century through her family life, education, flying experiences, world records, and her eight years of adventures in Michigan, with hundreds of photographs, vintage film footage, and music from the 1920s and 1930s. This 60-minute presentation will recount the exciting life and times of the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
