Vermontville, MI

Vermontville is a village in Eaton County, Vermontville Township. According to the 2010 census, the population was 759. The village was organized in 1836 by the Reverend Sylvester Cochrane, who was a Congregational minister from East Poultney, Vermont. Vermontville’s motto is ‘the Home of the Original Maple Syrup Festival in Michigan’. The city hosts a maple syrup festival every year, it originated as a way to sell maple syrup while promoting the village. Some places to visit in the village are The Opera House and Vermontville Museum.
