Troy Historic Village

The Troy Historic Village is a collection of eleven 19th and early 20th-century buildings and artifacts that tell the story of southeast Michigan’s rural heritage, from the mid-1800s to the early turn-of-the-century. You’ll explore three historic homes, a general store, one-room school, wagon shop, church and more! Recently voted number one Best Tour in the Vote 4 the Best contest. If you like having a good time, then you should definitely check out the Troy Historic Village! In addition to year-round self-guided tours of the historic buildings, we offer: - Classes in a variety of lost arts, such as blacksmithing and vegetable canning - Hands-on history field trip programs for students in pre-k through middle school - By-appointment access to archival records for historical and genealogical research - Onsite monthly history talks featuring a wide array of speakers, topics, tea and cookies - Offsite group tours of unique locales, including historic places of worship and cemeteries - Annual special events, including the Troy Traffic Jam antique car show; Art, Mix & Mingle wine, art, music and history event; Halloween Trick-or-Treat; and traditional Christmas open house. We are also the site of the Troy Garden Club’s arts and crafts boutique during the annual Troy Garden Walk (second Wednesday of July).
