The Power of Play
As a parent or caregiver, one of the biggest concerns for your child’s learning is making sure they have time to play. Do you know that there are different types of play, and that play is needed to release stress and stay healthy? Play promotes cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional development. Join us via Zoom on Monday, August 31, at 11 am or Thursday, August 6th at 6 pm. Come re-learn what play truly is, and find out how making time for play in your child's routine increases their desire to learn. Library staff member Ms. Tracey will share studies and strategies from David Elkind and other researchers who support the importance of play. Play is not just for your child, but for adults as well.
