St. Joseph, MI

St. Joseph is a city on the shores of Lake Michigan located in the Southwest corner of Michigan. It is only 90 miles from downtown Chicago and is located in the area known as “The Riviera of the Midwest”. It is the county seat for Berrien County and has a population of 8,365. It was once an important port city for travel and trade because of its location between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River. The city is the home of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. St. Joseph is commonly referred to as “St. Joe”. Annual events that the city hosts include: Blossomtime Festival, The Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff, and The Concours d’Elegence of Southwest Michigan. Some fun places to visit are Whirlpool Compass Fountain, Silver Beach County Park, and St. Joseph Lighthouses.
