Special Presentation by Local Author and Historian, Mark Thompson
Join us at the Rogers City Theater for a special historical presentation by Mark Thompson and the celebration of the Presque Isle District Library's 75th anniversary. Saturday, August 8th at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm only. This featured presentation includes the newly released book, "Molitor, the Murder of a Northern Michigan King" with updates to this scandalous murder that took place in Rogers City (circa 1860s). Curator of the Presque Isle County Historical Museum, Mark Thompson will also highlight the communities of Presque Isle County from its early settlers to present day as part of a kick off to next year's sesquicentennial. And concluding the program, we will celebrate the library's 75th anniversary with a brief slide presentation of its history and light refreshments in honor of the library. Tickets are $10/person with limited seating. Tickets are available for purchase at the library, 989-734-2477 or the museum at 989-734-4121.
