New Boston, MI

New Boston is an unincorporated community in Huron Charter Township in Wayne County, South East Michigan, U.S. According to the 2000 census the population was 7,792. The community is named after the city of Boston in Massachusetts, however, it was originally named “Catville” after the initials of the proprietor, C.A. Trowbridge. New Boston has an annual Apple Fest that takes place every October. Main attractions in the community include Oakwood Metropark Nature Center, Crosswinds Marsh, and Apple Charlies South Huron Orchards.
