Making Sense of Discipline for Students with Disabilities
This workshop will provide information about discipline issues and student’s rights. Students who receive special education services have protections under state and federal laws that guarantee their right to receive a free appropriate public education.  Questions about extra protections for students with disabilities  Overview changes to Michigan’s Rethink Discipline Code  Alternatives to suspension and expulsion  Supporting students facing suspension/expulsion Who should attend?
