Local Author Visit: Michigan POW Camps in World War II
LDL will welcome local author Dr. Gregory Sumner, author of Michigan POW Camps in World War II for a presentation about how Michigan became a temporary home to six thousand German and Italian POWs during World War II. Sumner is a professor and co-chair of history at the University of Detroit Mercy, teaching courses on twentieth-century American politics and culture. He holds B.A., M.A., and PhD degrees from Indiana University and a J.D. From the University of Michigan Law School. Registration is required. Register online or call 810-664-6971.
