Kalamazoo Humane Society
KHS is a non-sheltering animal welfare organization dedicated to reducing pet over-population in greater Kalamazoo and southwest Michigan. We offer services to the public including a low-cost spay/neuter service and a pet food bank. We also provide dog houses and stray throughout the winter months and we work with the YWCA to provide free housing to pets for victims of domestic violence. We advocate and weigh-in on animal welfare issues and we offer support to our local stray animal shelter. Aside from offering our own services and programs, we can also refer you to appropriate agencies as needed.
