The "First Friday" free concert series presented by The Wilcox Foundation at PARC-Plymouth Arts & Recreation Complex will be having their third concert in the series on December 6th at noon. The concerts contain an entertaining mix of 45-60 minutes of music and dialogue with the artist. The intimate setting in PARC’s Band/Music Room will give guests an opportunity to interact with the artists and ask questions. PARC is located at 650 Church Street in Plymouth. To reach the Band/Music Room, guests should park behind the building off Adams Street and enter through the Activities Entrance. For more information please call 734-927-4090. The April concert will feature Dr. Barton Polot from the Michigan Philharmonic. Dr. Barton Polot holds his BA, MA and PhD in music all from the University of Michigan. Bart heads the music department at Schoolcraft College where he specializes in computer music, synthesis and music technology. He is a widely sought clinician and lecturer on technology applications for music instruction and music-making. Bart is an accomplished pianist, composer and software author. He is remembered for his nightly performances at Ann Arbor’s Gandy Dancer restaurant, 1972-87. Dr. Polot serves on the board of directors of the Michigan Philharmonic, the Michigan Jazz Festival and the Southeastern Michigan Jazz Association.
