Originally founded as the town of Auburn in 1821, Auburn Hills officially became a city in 1983. This U.S. Southeastern Michigan suburban city is home to over 23,000 people as well as 22 high-technology parks and 4 universities. The most popular attraction in Auburn Hills the largest outlet mall in the U.S., Great Lakes Crossing Outlets. The mall has over 184 stores, restaurants, and attractions including Sea Life Aquarium and LEGOLAND Discovery Center. Other places of interest include Bald Mountain Recreation Area, Meadow Brook Hall, Meadow Brook Amphitheatre, and Walter P. Chrysler Museum.
