Paw Paw Vineyard Classic Bicycle Tour
Organization: KELC Events Date: Sunday, September 8, 2019 Time: Registration is from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM Tour starts between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM Place: Van Buren County Human Services Building 801 Hazen Street, Paw Paw, MI 49079 - just north of Red Arrow Highway (starting point) Cost: Advanced Registration $20 + Fees (under 12 FREE when accompanied by an adult) Day of Registration $25 Event Statement: The Vineyard Classic is part of the annual Paw Paw Wine and Harvest Festival. On Sunday, there are many events in and around the Paw Paw area such as arts and crafts, winery tours, entertainment, grape stomping, the parade, and grapes for tasting. The tour travels past lush vineyards and orchards at the peak of harvest season. Cyclists pass by woodlands, lakes, rivers and neighboring villages and can choose from three different length routes (20, 40, or 60-mile distances). There is a variety of places to stop and have breakfast at in town before the ride. There will be SAG support with radio crew, route maps, road markings, first aid and refreshment stops provided. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED. All proceeds benefit Bike Friendly Kalamazoo.
